On Therapy With Alison

Therapy with me is a safe place to say what you don’t get to say anywhere else.

This means it can feel really challenging at times. I work best with people who really want to look at themselves and their patterns.

Typical reasons why people contact me include: relationship problems and decisions, anxiety and stress, depression, and existential questions about meaning and purpose.

I am supportive, fierce, present and intuitive.

The frequency and length of our work depends entirely on what you need. I am happy to work with you long term and I am also always looking for ways to help you get what you want in the shortest amount of time.

About half my practice is short term clients and half is long term. One of my key strengths is listening very deeply and intuitively to exactly what you need right now. As needed I make a lot of referrals to other modalities that complement or replace the work I do.

Healing is a natural journey and as such progresses in cycles and I try to be present to those cycles in you and in our work so that you get what you need.

My training is psychoanalytically based. I describe my work as relational and energetic. On request I offer spiritual and energetic healing in combination with traditional psychotherapy.
