We're not going to think our way out of this

We’re not going to think our way out of this.

The rumination which masks as conversation in our culture is running us into the ground.

What is cracked is no longer holding - scotch tape is definitely not going to work here.

What is ready to be shed is leaving.

Whatever your challenge I know it is massive right now.

And logic works to a point.

But when we are without certainty we have the opportunity to open ourselves to other sources of information.

To feel our way through this.

Allowing the energy to move through - the sadness, disappointment, shock, excitement, joy…all of it can be allowed.

To feel we must be physically strong.

Rest, hydration, movement and nourishing food are crucial.

Allowing our bodies to flow in their own time.

Experiencing the cycle of days, the way the light changes a little bit each day…

No one has the answers.

No one knows why or what or how and definitely not what’s coming.

Many of us have been given the space to access our own wisdom at a level never before possible.

We can use our minds to realize the futility of our rumination and make a different choice.

We can get to the bottom of our feelings, our losses, our hopes and we can express them.

We can be creative.  Alive. Moving.

You contain all the truth.  That’s not a platitude.

Thinking the same thought over and over again is a sign that more is possible for you.  It’s a short circuit of a kind - a stuckness that we don’t have to settle for.

Mental health is only partially about the mind.  Our dear bodies and hearts need our love and the rest will follow.
